HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Our New Year's dinner was pretty darn good. The coq au vin was better than I expected but terribly filling. Even J only had 2 thighs so I had plenty even after throwing away the over salted one. Liz made a delicious mocha chocolate swirl cake and it was deliciously decadent with the rose Champagne. If 2007 is half as "pretty" as that picture, it's going to be a good one.

W was in good spirits but would not take a photo with a party hat on his head so I settled for one at the table. He danced ALL night but hasn't yet figured out how to add the twirl at the end. He'll get it-what with all of his inherited rhythm.

Here's to a happy, healthy and joyful 2007!

Coq Au Vin!!?
I'm just guessing, but I bet that any 'left-overs' would be great with grits!
Any 'left-over' Champagne?...
2007 looks pretty, 'pretty'!

The leftovers will be great with grits. and they're still good with the load of buttered egg noodles we have leftover. Got to eat all the evidence of decadence before tomorrow. No cham pag nee left unfortunately.
